Once we were children is a journey in three dimensions. In the dimension of time, in the years in which the writer was born. In the dimension of space, of the places where the writer grew up. In the dimension of the mind of the writer, who recounts and relives his personal vision filtered through their own experiences and sensitivity. An extraordinary journey in the life of Joe R. Lansdale, one of the greatest contemporary writers, that take us in his own country, his home, his family, and his mind. Following the red tape of his writings Joe tells us an amazing and touching story: his life.
Chiara Stangalino director of the fiction division for Codice publishing house, worked for many years for one of Italy’s leading publishing houses, Einaudi and after as a freelance festival organizer, for the Courmyeur Noir in Festival, Festarch, the Sardinian architecture festival, and Turin Book Fair among other things. In 2009 she is coeditor with Maxim Jakubowski of Rome Noir, an anthology of the best Italian crime writers.

Erminio Perocco works as commercial and film director and screenwriter, has been hugely awarded both in Italy and abroad. Copywriter, has been Executive Creative Director of Armando Testa advertising company. Writer and creative producer for LuxVide since 2007, has worked on International tv series (Under the sky of Rome, Coco Chanel) and Italian series. As a director he made several documentaries, as well as one of the first Italian webseries,A un pelo dalla Victoria, with Victoria Cabello and Vittoria Belvedere. His latest documentary, A - Elegy of Augustuswas premiered at the Rome International Film Festival in November 2014.
