Senza ragione apparente
Feltrinelli

Giorgia Cantini is working on a new case: Emilio, a 17-year-old student at a high school in Bologna, has killed himself for no apparent reason, leaving a terse message: "I’m tired". A second suicide just as perplexing follows, and the nightmarish suspicion that in one night something irreparable has occurred. Giorgia is joined by her surreal assistant Genzianella and the head of the homicide division, Luca Bruni, Giorgia’s live-in partner as of a few short months; it will be his 16-year-old son, Mattia, who helps her better understand a generation forced to negotiate its way around an increasingly ambiguous world.

Grazia Verasani started out writing short stories that appeared in il Manifesto. Author, playwright, songwriter and scriptwriter, she has published novels such as L’amore è un bar sempre aperto (1999), Fuck me mon amour (2001),Tracce del tuo passaggio (2002), From Medea (2004), andQuo vadis, baby? (2004), which became a film of the same name by Gabriele Salvatores.
