Luce perfetta
Einaudi

Christian is determined and enterprising. Maddalena is just as tenacious, plus she can actually imagine - and defend - her own future. They’d be perfect for one another, if their common fate didn’t involve a third party: a certain Domenico. As the heady years of their adolescence wind down, and the city of Nuoro mobilizes for the engagement party for Domenico and Maddalena (now pregnant as well), it becomes clear to one and all that Cristian has become the odd man out.

Marcello Fois is a novelist, playwright and screenwriter for film and television (Ilaria Alpi. Il più crudele dei giorniCerti bambini). He made his literary debut in 1992 with Ferro recente, which he followed up with many other novels including Sempre caro, 1998 Scerbanenco Award. In 2007, his Memoria del vuoto won the Super Grinzane Cavour, Volponi and Alassio awards. Fois was a finalist for the Strega Prize in 2012, for his novel Nel tempo di mezzo; he published L’importanza dei luoghi comuni the following year. He has also published a poetry collection, L’ultima volta che sono rinato (2006).
