In a dusty Texas bar, a chatty stranger insists on striking up a conversation with the grumpy man sitting next to him. The more this out-of-towner talks, the more obvious it is he’s not from around here. Heck, he's not even from this planet!
"I’m a huge fan of The Twilight Zone television series. I chose to adapt Bar Talk into a short film because it reminded me so much of the classic Twilight Zone episodes that I love to watch over and over again. This simple scene is slow and suspenseful. The audience really has no idea where it’s going to go. But then, in the end, something BIG is revealed and it will make the audience either cringe or laugh... or do both. This was definitely a Lansdale trademark I hoped to capture for the screen."[Lowell Northrop]

Lowell Northrop is a writer/director/producer of short films and an executive producer on the upcoming TV series, Hap and Leonard.
