When she returns home from college for a Hawaiian vacation, young Lucy reunites with her family and reconnects with their pet: a chimpanzee named Ben who has bonded with Lucy’s younger sister Erin. A few days before a summer pool party, Ben is bitten by a mongoose and contracts rabies, becoming more and more aggressive and a threat to everyone there. Lucy and her friends will have to barricade themselves in the pool, devising a thousand and one different strategies in order to survive. A tropical vacation will end up turning into a terrifying primitive story of horror and survival.
