“Every human being lives in a fragile balance between their rational side and their animal side, instinctive and primordial. What would happen if this balance fell apart? This question is where I began, giving life to a story that explores the boundaries of our own nature, using genre elements to deal with the fears of the real world — in our own lives — the things that make us suffer, the things we cannot control. We only see what we want to see, and we bury deep inside the pain we cannot bear. It is precisely that unbearable pain that Irene tries to deny and repress, which ends up awakening her primordial side: a brutal, merciless force, yet at the same time a force of salvation — able to finally connect her with her new self.”  (Andrea Corsini)

Andrea Corsini is a multiple awarded director and screenwriter. His works has been showcased at Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, Aesthetica, Triennale di Milano, Fantasia, BIFAN. He’s been a selected director at international development programs Cannes Frontières, Milano Film Network and European Genre Forum. In 2011 he wrote and directed the short film Non nel mio giardino. In 2018 his experimental documentary Societas Mortis has been premiered at Triennale di Milano. In 2019 he wrote and directed the short film Ferine premiered at Venezia International Critics Week.
