With its roots in the 1950s in scientific fields and in American academic settings, video games became a mass phenomenon that went hand in hand with tecnological progress. And while it may seem quite ordinary, developing a video game is not simple in the slightest, and the industry itself is a risky business (95 out 100 titles fail to crack the market). So how do you create a video game? Which skills are required? And how much does it cost to make one?
