Edgardo Pistone (Naples, 1990) studied directing and photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. He has since worn many hats: as a writer, director, and photographer, and has a strong interest in education, working with several associations to bring cinema to the outskirts of his hometown, where he teaches kids the art of film. In 2019, Pistone was an AD on the film Selfie by Agostino Ferrente. Before he made his feature directorial debut with Ciao Bambino in 2024, he directed a number of short films, such as Le mosche (2020), which was selected for the International Critics’ Week and won the Best Director Award at the Sic@Sic short film showcase.
