Presented by Mazzino Montinari

Producer Andrea Maltagliati and journalist and editorial manager Guido Guenci meet for a public talk about an international podcast that takes on one of Italy’s greatest mysteries
London, June 18th, 1982. The body of a hanged man is found under Blackfriars Bridge – Roberto Calvi, the former president of the Banco Ambrosiano. Suicide or homicide? What secrets lurk behind his death? Not only the story of the dismal end of one of the most powerful bankers in all of Europe, this is an investigation that unpacks the very system which allowed the Banco Ambrosiano, the IOR, the P2 Lodge, the Mafia, and the secret services to operate covertly in Rome, London, and Vatican City. Through original interviews, Nicolò Majnoni attempts to shed light on what really happened to Calvi, caught in a vise between the Vatican, the Mafia, and a secret Masonic lodge. An inquiry out to unveil hidden truths behind one of the greatest enigmas in Italian history.
Il Banchiere di Dio is an original Vois production, based on the podcast God’s Banker by Crooked Media and Campside Media.
