  Hong-jin Na

Na Hong-jin (Hangul, South Korea, 1974) is considered one of the leading talents of the new wave of South Korean directors. Immediately garnering attention for his debut short, A Perfect Red Snapper Dish, which won the Mise-en-Scene Short Film Festival, his follow-up short Sweat was equally acclaimed. His feature debut The Chaser screened out of competition at Cannes and numerous other international film festivals, including Courmayeur. This year he returned to Cannes with The Yellow Sea, selected in Un Certain Regard, and won Best Director at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival.
