L’UOMO DI CASA

Sandra’s picture-perfect existence shattered the day her husband Alan was found dead in his car with his throat slit and his pants down. Who was he, really? A loving husband and father and highly regarded professional, or a hypocrite leading a double life? Things get worse when Sandra discovers that for some time Alan had been investigating a cold case from thirty years before: the kidnapping and murder of six children in Richmond, Virginia, by a woman who had never been identified.

Romano De Marco (1965) alternates between a writing career and another job entirely, as head of safety for one of Italy’s leading credit institutions. His first novel, Ferro e fuoco, appeared in 2009, followed two years later by Milano a mano armata (published by Foschi, 2012 Lomellina in giallo Prize) and A casa del diavolo (published by Fanucci, finalist for the 2013 Nebbia Gialla Prize). De Marco’s short stories have appeared in Linus, il Corriere della sera and numerous anthologies. In 2014 and again in 2015 he was a finalist for the Scerbanenco Award with two novels published by Feltrinelli: Io la troverò and Città di polvere.
