Lo schermo oscuro
The noir is not only a filmic "genre", is also and above all a style, a psychological dimension, a way of feeling life (and film): it is the triumph of chiaroscuro, of ambiguity. Silvio Raffo, beeing also a novelist, is a thriller and visionary fantasy conoisseur and offers in this peculiar work an "affective" and aesthetics chronicle of the noir universe, without ever losing sight of the literary and costume references.

Silvio Raffo has published books of poetry and novels. He translated for Mondadori Publisher the complete works of Emily Dickinson. For the publishing house Bietti he published Eros degli inganni (Eros deceptions, 2011) and Lady Medusa. Vita, poesia e amori di Amalia Guglielminetti (Lady Medusa. Life, poetry and loves of Amalia Guglielminetti 2012), and edited with Alessandra Cenni the complete collection of poems by Antonia Pozzi, Lieve offerta (Mild offer 2013).
