In the 1950s and 60s, under Franco’s dictatorship, Spanish genre cinema continued to exist. Catalan cinema became a veritable school, using noir to depict the country’s gray areas and inconfessable secrets. Organized by Lorenzo Codelli, this traveling retrospective, a rediscovery of a forgotten treasure, kicks off in Courmayeur.
